Everyone in Relay for Life has story

"Everybody`s got a story," said Hillrose Postmaster Kevin Fergus as he sat among a large group of Relay for Life walkers and volunteers munching on hamburgers and chips Friday night.
And Fergus and his wife Melanie were among those with tales to tell
They said they were on a "date night," with the kids off on a trip with friends. As Melanie put it, it was "a chance to come and celebrate."
Melanie is a cancer survivor, diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2008 and undergoing surgery and six chemotherapy treatments.
Pat Schaefer, awaiting a photo opportunity with the "Purple Cancer Eaters" team, said her group was made up of family members and friends walking for her.
"I am walking for all of my breast friends," the 13-year breast cancer survivor said.
